Khalistani terrorist Arshdeep Singh Gill alias Arsh Dalla, currently faces 67 criminal cases across Punjab. Key charges include directing murders (e.g., in Moga and Bathinda under Sections 302 and 120B of the IPC), inciting communal disharmony (under the UAPA and Section 153A of the IPC), extortion (Sections 384 and 387 of the IPC), and using arms and explosives. Notably, cases such as the shooting of temple sewadars in Jalandhar have been transferred to the National Investigation Agency (NIA). Dalla is accused of orchestrating widespread organized crime to instill fear and fund terror activities.

Police on November 17 busted a trans-border drug and weapon smuggling module and arrested two persons, identified as Vansh alias Billa and Sonu Chaurasi and seized 3.5 kg of heroin along with 1.5 kg of methaqualone along with two pistols, including a sophisticated Austria-made 9 mm Glock from their possession, in Amritsar in Amritsar district. Investigations are underway to trace their accomplices and linkages.

Jalandhar rural police on November 17 conducted a cordon and search operation (CASO) and arrested five individuals, identified as Jatinder Kumar, Davinder Kumar, Rohan Kumar, Ninder and Kashmir Kaur, and seized 12 grams of heroin along with 300 Etizolam tablets from their possession, in Ganna village in Phillaur in Jalandhar district.

The Border Security Force (BSF) reported a record 16 drone recoveries along the International Border in Punjab between November 9 and 15, 2024, surpassing the previous weekly high of 10. These drones, primarily originating from Pakistan, were used to smuggle narcotics, weapons, and fake currency into India. During this period, the BSF seized approximately 16 kg of heroin, arrested two suspects, and conducted multiple operations in the Amritsar, Tarn Taran, and Gurdaspur sectors to neutralize the drone threat. So far this year, 216 drones have been intercepted, double the total for 2023.

According to India’s consulate in Vancouver, consular camps were held on November 16 and 17 at the Khalsa Diwan Society Gurdwara in Abbotsford and the Ross Street Gurdwara in Vancouver, issuing 709 life certificates to pensioners in Canada. These camps proceeded peacefully, unlike those in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA), which were cancelled due to threats from the Khalistani terror outfit Sikhs For Justice (SFJ).

The Amritsar police on November 15 dismantled a trans-border narco-smuggling and arms cartel with the arrest of three individuals, Aditya Pratap alias Kaka, Shambhu Kabir and Muskan along with 8 kg of heroin, 6 kg of opium, 13.1 kg of chemicals used to enhance the quantity of contraband, and four pistols along with 17 cartridges from their possession at Kot Khalsa in Amritsar district. Aditya was arrested at Prem Nagar Road in Amritsar with two pistols and 13 live cartridges, leading to the recovery of 8 kg of heroin, 2 kg of chemicals, 6 kg of opium, and a Glock pistol. Shambhu was arrested at Guru Ki Wadali Road in Amritsar with 275 grams of heroin, 11.1 kg of chemicals, and a .32 bore pistol. Muskan was identified as the daughter of absconding racket kingpin Sunny.
