On November 15, during the 104th foundation day of the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) in Amritsar, SGPC president Harjinder Singh Dhami expressed concern over government attempts to limit SGPC's jurisdiction, citing indirect control over other Sikh gurdwara committees. Dhami urged the Sikh community to unite under the leadership of the Akal Takht to counter anti-panthic forces. He also emphasized the SGPC’s century-long role in managing gurdwaras, promoting Sikhi, and safeguarding Sikh interests.

Punjab Director General of Police (DGP) Gaurav Yadav on November 15 inaugurated the state-of-the-art Support Services Unit (SSU) at the Anti-Narcotics Task Force (ANTF) headquarters in Chandigarh. The SSU, equipped with advanced technology and software, will focus on analysing drug-related data, communications, social media, financial transactions, and trafficker profiles, enhancing the ANTF's operational capabilities and precision in combating the drug menace.

The Gharinda police on November 15 arrested three cross-border drug traffickers, identified as Akashdeep Singh, Akashdeep Singh, and Simranpreet Singh and seized 450 grams of heroin and a .32 bore revolver along with four live rounds from their possession, near Khasa in Amritsar district. The suspects were linked to contraband and arms supply in Pakistan, with further investigations underway to uncover their networks.

The Indian Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal, in New Delhi on November 14, announced that India will actively pursue the extradition of Khalistani terrorist Arshdeep Singh Gill alias Arsh Dalla, following his recent arrest in Canada. Dalla, a designated terrorist in India and a close associate of the deceased Khalistani terrorist Hardeep Singh Nijjar, is wanted for multiple serious criminal offences.

Punjab Police on November 14 dismantled two criminal gangs, including a UK-based extortion syndicate, with the arrest of 10 individuals, including Harvinder Singh alias Raju, Dalwinder Singh alias Guri, Sarabjit Singh alias Punjab alias Kaka, and Harpreet Singh alias Shera. Police seized two .32-bore pistols with six live rounds, three magazines, and one .315-bore pistol with two live rounds from their possession in Jalandhar, Punjab. Investigations revealed that the extortion syndicate operated from the UK, Greece, and Manila, with key figures orchestrating shootings and extortion activities in Punjab.

This surge, linked to escalating diplomatic tensions between India and Canada, has prompted the government to issue takedown orders for content deemed a threat to national security and sovereignty under Section 69A of the Information Technology Act.

According to sources, security has been significantly heightened in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh (UP), following a threat by Khalistani terrorist Gurpatwant Singh Pannun, the chief of the banned outfit Sikhs For Justice (SFJ), to attack the Ram Temple and other Hindu temples on November 16 and 17. The area has been fortified with additional police and paramilitary forces, along with enhanced surveillance using CCTV and drones.

The Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP) International President, Alok Kumar, in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh (UP), on November 12, condemned Khalistani terrorist Gurpatwant Singh Pannun’s threat to attack the Ram temple. He asserted that India is "mighty and strong" enough to counter such threats and emphasized the unity between Hindu and Sikh communities. Kumar described Pannun’s actions as those of a “mentally deranged” individual or a “hired agent of some foreign power” and assured that the Ram temple would remain unharmed.

Punjab Police on November 12 arrested Shimla Singh, a key accused in the Mansa grenade attack orchestrated by Khalistani terrorist Arshdeep Singh Gill alias Arsh Dalla, in Mansa district. Singh, who was responsible for throwing the grenade at a petrol pump on October 26-27, confessed to receiving the weapon from an individual in Garhshankar on Dalla's instructions. He also admitted to providing logistical support to the shooters involved in the murder of Gurpreet Singh Hari Nau.

Police on November 12 arrested gangster Yodhbir Singh Yodha after a brief encounter and seized a 9 mm Glock pistol from his possession near Kasur drain in Tarn Taran district. Yodha, a member of jailed gangster Harpreet Singh alias Happy Baba's gang, was involved in various criminal activities, including being the shooter in a firing incident at a factory on November 5.

Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) president Harjinder Singh Dhami on November 12 condemned recent incidents in Canada, calling them a conspiracy to defame the Sikh community. He stated that differences of opinion are being falsely portrayed as Sikh attacks on Hindu temples. The SGPC executive committee passed a resolution the same day, asserting that Sikhs respect all faiths and would never target places of worship. Dhami also criticized restrictions on Sikh employees wearing the kirpan at Indian airports and the denial of visas to Sikh pilgrims visiting Nankana Sahib. He announced that SGPC delegations will meet with the Indian government and the Pakistan High Commission to resolve these issues.
