An industrialist named Sambhav Jain was kidnapped on November 17 by five individuals, two of whom were identified as Ravi and Mohit, in Laddu Colony, an industrial area at Noorwala village in the Ludhiana district. The kidnappers demanded a ransom of INR 5 crore. During the abduction, Jain attempted to escape, resulting in a bullet injury to his thigh and physical assault. Subsequently, the kidnappers threw him out of the moving car and fled without receiving the ransom. Jain is currently undergoing treatment, and the police are investigating the incident, filing charges against the two identified individuals, Ravi and Mohit, as well as others.

A delegation from the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) on November 16 met with Governor Banwarilal Purohit in Chandigarh to seek the release of nine Sikh prisoners who have completed their sentences. Led by President Harjinder Singh Dhami, the SGPC submitted a memorandum and 26 lakh proformas collected through a signature campaign to highlight the public demand for the prisoners' release. The delegation also urged the governor to address concerns about potential distortion in the Sikh Gurdwaras Act, 1925, by the Punjab Government. Dhami emphasized that the discrimination against Sikh prisoners constitutes a violation of human rights.

Mohali Police on November 16 achieved a breakthrough by arresting a key operative linked to foreign-based gangsters Goldy Brar and Saba USA, identified as Gurpal Singh and seized a.30 caliber Chinese pistol along with five live cartridges from his possession from Rankhandi village in Deoband tehsil of Saharanpur district in Uttar Pradesh (UP). He is a co-accused in a November 6 incident where he allegedly accompanied Manjeet Singh alias Guri, in opening fire on a police team in Mohali, Punjab.

Delhi Police, on November 15, arrested two close aides of the Tillu Tajpuriya gang identified as Lalit alias Chetan and Sachin alias Tinku, along with a third co-accused, Sachin, in connection with an attempted murder case in Alipur in North Delhi district in Delhi. During interrogation, it was revealed that Lalit, Sachin, Rohit alias Laddu, Rahul, and Shanky were involved in the crime. The incident involved three individuals on a bike firing at the victim, Piyush Mann, and fleeing the scene. Efforts are ongoing to apprehend the remaining suspects.

Canadian Prime Minister (PM) Justin Trudeau has reiterated his accusation against India for its alleged involvement in the killing of Canadian Sikh activist Hardeep Singh Nijjar, putting the Indian government led by PM Narendra Modi in the spotlight. Sikh organization Dal Khalsa supported Trudeau's claims, asserting that they believe India's intelligence agency, Research and Analysis Wing (RAW), was involved. Security has been heightened at Ahmedabad airport in Gujarat, Amritsar airport in Punjab, and Indira Gandhi International (IGI) Airport in Delhi following threats from Khalistani terrorist Gurpatwant Singh Pannun, the chief of the banned Khalistani terror outfit Sikhs For Justice (SFJ). Pannun urged Sikhs to avoid Air India flights on and after November 19. According to sources, India has requested evidence from the United States (US) under the Mutual Legal Assistance Treaty (MLAT) concerning an attack on the Indian consulate in San Francisco by Khalistani elements in July 2023. The National Investigation Agency (NIA) is conducting an ongoing probe into the incident, which prompted the US to condemn the attack as a 'criminal offence.' The request for evidence comes nearly eight months after the attack, during which US officials identified around 45 individuals involved in the violent incident.
