As a result, the number of Indian pilgrims remains low, with only 152,577 out of a total of 680,381 visitors from November 2021 to August 2023 being Indian nationals. Experts suggest relaxing these conditions and allowing family visits to enhance the corridor's popularity among Sikhs.
