Two motorcycle-borne assailants opened fire at the house of Daljit Singh Raju, Phagwara coordinator of the ruling Aam Aadmi Party (AAP)’s ‘Yudh Nashian Virudh’ drive, near Darvesh Pind village on the Phagwara–Jandiala road in Kapurthala district on November 27. No injuries were reported. Raju said around 23 rounds were fired at about 1:13 a.m., shattering window and door panes. Sources added that a hand-written slip, in English, was found at the site mentioning the name of a group and an amount of INR 5 crore.

Mansa Police on November 26 arrested a member of the Bambiha gang, identified as Rambakhsh alias Bakhshi, and seized two .32-bore pistols, a .315-bore country-made pistol, and three live cartridges from his possession near a school in Budhlada in Mansa district. The accused was allegedly wanted in two recent firing incidents in Sirsa district of Haryana.

On November 26, Punjab Police, on day 270 of its “Yudh Nashian Virudh” campaign, registered 83 first information reports (FIRs), arrested 104 drug smugglers and seized 6.4 kg of heroin, 1.6 kg of ICE, 389 intoxicant pills and INR 6.96 lakhs drug money from the possession of arrested persons, across the state.

The Anti-Gangster Task Force (AGTF) of the Punjab Police, on November 26, foiled a major terror plot by arresting four Lawrence Bishnoi gang members, identified as Harvinder Singh, Lakhwinder Singh, Mohammad Samir, and Rohit Sharma, and recovering seven .32-calibre pistols and 70 live cartridges from them, after an encounter on the Dera Bassi–Ambala highway in Mohali in Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar district. Two of the accused were injured after opening fire at the police in an attempt to flee. Preliminary investigation indicates they were acting on the instructions of a foreign-based handler, Goldy Dhillon and were planning targeted attacks in the tricity and Patiala region.

The Anti-Narcotics Task Force (ANTF) of the Punjab Police on November 26 arrested a drug smuggler, identified as Akashdeep Singh and seized 5.084 kg of heroin, 1.681 kg of crystal methamphetamine (ICE), INR 6.5 lakh in cash, a leather bag, two electronic weighing machines, and a vehicle, in Kharar in Mohali, in Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar district.

Punjab Government has denied parole to Khadoor Sahib Member of Parliament (MP) Amritpal Singh, who is detained under the National Security Act (NSA) in Dibrugarh jail, Assam, for attending the winter session of Parliament from December 1 to 19. Secretariat sources said the government, relying on reports from the Amritsar Deputy Commissioner and the district police chief, cited potential law and order concerns as the reason for rejecting his request.

Actor-comedian Kapil Sharma, on November 26 in Mumbai, said the three firing incidents at his café in Surrey, British Columbia, Canada, had finally compelled Canadian authorities to act against such attacks in the country. “In fact, after every firing incident, we got a bigger opening at the café. So it’s all okay if God is with me,” he added.

Delhi Police’s Special Cell has dismantled a Pakistan-backed terror–gangster module run by Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI)-linked handler Shahzad Bhatti, arresting three associates from Punjab, Madhya Pradesh, and Uttar Pradesh (UP) who were involved in the November 25 grenade attack outside the Gurdaspur city police station, Punjab. Those arrested include Vikas Prajapati from Datia, Madhya Pradesh on November 26; Hargunpreet Singh from Firozpur, Punjab on November 29; and Asif from Bijnor, UP on November 30. Police seized a pistol, 10 live cartridges, reconnaissance videos, chats, and voice notes from them. According to Delhi Police, the trio admitted their role in the Gurdaspur grenade attack, stating that one carried out the throw while the others provided logistical support. The module had “multiple targets,” and the reconnaissance locations will be shared with Punjab Police. Police said all members of the network have now been identified, preventing further attacks. Sources also confirmed that gangster Anmol Bishnoi, currently in NIA custody, was among the module’s intended targets.

Delhi Police on November 25 arrested a key conspirator in the three firing incidents outside comedian Kapil Sharma’s ‘Kap’s Café’ in Surrey, Canada, identified as Bandhu Maan Singh Sekhon, and seized a PX-3 semi-automatic pistol of Chinese make and eight cartridges from his vehicle in Ludhiana in Ludhiana district. Sekhon, allegedly provided logistical support to the shooters involved in the attacks. He had travelled to Canada on an employment visa in 2023, became a member of the Goldy Dhillon gang, and fled to India after Surrey Police arrested several of his associates in August 2025. According to Deputy Commissioner of Police (Crime) in Delhi, Sanjeev Kumar Yadav, Sekhon’s arrest followed the capture of two members of gangster Sonu Khatri — Mandeep Singh and Dalvinder Kumar — in Rohini, along with Turkish and Chinese-made pistols. The duo disclosed that one weapon from the consignment had been delivered to Sekhon, confirming his role in the interstate and cross-border arms network linked to Khatri, who currently operates from the United States (US).

Amritsar Rural Police on November 25 arrested two brothers, identified as Yuvraj and Akashdeep, and recovered an improvised explosive device (IED) weighing nearly 2.5 kg from them in Gharinda, Amritsar district. Officials said security agencies had shared specific inputs that Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI)-backed operatives planned to retrieve explosive material hidden in the border belt. Acting on information that two suspects were heading on a motorcycle to pick up an IED concealed near the border, the police intercepted and arrested them.

The State Special Operations Cell, Fazilka, on November 25 arrested two members of a cross-border weapon-smuggling module, identified as Vikram Singh and Prabhjot Singh, and seized two hand grenades, one Glock 9mm pistol, and two live cartridges from their possession on the Chak Maujdin Wala–Surghur road in Fazilka district. Preliminary findings indicate the weapons were drone-delivered from Pakistan for planned criminal activities in Punjab.
