The Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) recovered a cache of arms and ammunition and arrested one person in Firozpur District in Punjab. Besides the arms, 54 kg heroin - originating from Pakistan – was also been seized. The haul is seen as outfits across the border using drug syndicates to fund terror networks and reviving Khalistani militancy in Punjab.
Five persons have been arrested from a village in Amritsar and six kilograms of RDX as well as 20 detonators, time-devices, and heroin recovered from them, Police said.
The BSF personnel arrested four Pakistani intruders who were trying to enter India through the Tarn Taran District of Punjab. Two kilograms of heroin, two pistols, two Pakistani mobiles, and Pakistani currency notes were recovered from their possession.

Punjab Police arrested four persons, including two BKI activists, and recovered a large number of arms, ammunition, fake currency and heroin from them. The arrested persons are believed to be planning to perpetrate mass killings.
