Crime Investigation Agency (CIA) Staff of Punjab Police on June 21 arrested three youths identified as Adil Luthra, Surjit Kumar and Pawan Kumar and seized 150 grams of heroin from their possession, in Ramsara village in Abohar in Fazilka district.
The Border Security Force (BSF) troops on June 20 neutralised a drone and recovered a bag containing 7.4 kg of methamphetamine (ICE) along with the drone from fields near Mode village in Amritsar district.
On June 20, Punjab Police, on day 111 of its “Yudh Nashian Virudh” campaign registered 98 first information reports (FIRs), arrested 127 drug smugglers and seized 4.2 kg of heroin, 3 kg of opium, 118 kg of poppy husk and INR 11,170 drug money from the possession of arrested drug smugglers, across Punjab.
On June 19, Punjab Police, on day 110 of its “Yudh Nashian Virudh” campaign, registered 100 first information reports (FIRs), arrested 132 drug smugglers and seized 1.08 kg of heroin and INR 87,540 drug money from their possession, across Punjab.
The Border Security Force (BSF) in a joint operation with Punjab Police on June 18 arrested three unidentified smugglers and seized 500 grams of heroin, two drones, pistol parts and five mobile phones from their possession, in Raja Rai village in Ferozepur district.
On June 18, Punjab Police, on day 109 of its “Yudh Nashian Virudh” campaign, registered 107 first information reports (FIRs), arrested 151 drug smugglers and seized 3.5 kg of heroin, 1.3 kg of opium and INR 9.59 lakh drug money from their possession, across Punjab.
On June 17, Punjab Police, on day 108 of its “Yudh Nashian Virudh” campaign, registered 81 first information reports (FIRs), arrested 128 drug smugglers and seized 10.8 kg of heroin, 2 kg of opium and INR 2.40 lakh drug money from their possession, across Punjab.
Ferozepur police on June 17 arrested one individual, identified as Harmesh Singh and seized 9.4 kg of heroin and INR 2.10 lakh drug money from his possession, in Zira in Ferozepur district in Punjab. His accomplice, Ajay, managed to flee under the cover of darkness and is currently absconding.
Ferozepur police on June 17 arrested five individuals, identified as Manpreet Singh, Raman Singh, Kulwant Singh, Mandeep Kumar and Gurvinder Singh and seized 45,000 intoxicating capsules from their possession in Ferozepur in Ferozepur district.
Police on June 16 arrested three unidentified persons for allegedly opening fire at a youth identified as Lalit Chhabra, and seized a pistol and a motorcycle from their possession, near Thermal Colony gate number 2 in Bathinda in Bathinda district in Punjab. The accused, reportedly from the Majha region, are suspected to have links with a gangster.
On June 14, Punjab Police, on day 105 of its “Yudh Nashian Virudh” campaign registered 116 first information reports (FIRs), arrested 158 drug smugglers and seized 1.9 kg of heroin, 1 kg of opium, 2.8 kg of ganja and INR 36340 drug money from their possession, across Punjab.
The Border Security Force (BSF) troops on June 14 recovered one packet of heroin weighing 583 grams buried in a farming field adjacent to Wan village in Tarn Taran district.
On June 13, Punjab Police, on day 104 of its “Yudh Nashian Virudh” campaign, registered 80 first information reports (FIRs), arrested 116 drug smugglers and seized 9.9 kg of heroin, 1.5 kg of opium and INR 11.23 lakh drug money from their possession, across Punjab.
The Anti-Narcotics Task Force (Amritsar Range) on June 13 arrested two drug smugglers, identified as Gurbhej Singh alias Bheja and Abhijeet Singh alias Happy, and seized 4.5 kg of heroin, INR 11 lakh in drug money, and a scooter from their possession in Dhanoe Khurd village in Amritsar district. Authorities revealed that Gurbhej had direct links with Pakistan-based smuggler Rana and was using drones to transport drug consignments from across the border.
On June 12, Punjab Police, on day 103 of its “Yudh Nashian Virudh” campaign, registered 93 first information reports (FIRs), arrested 119 drug smugglers and seized 1.7 kg of heroin, 14.6 kg of opium and INR 57480 drug money from their possession, across Punjab.
On June 11, an individual identified as Gurjit Singh was killed in a firing incident involving two unidentified drug smugglers at Neshta village in Amritsar district. Police reported that they had recovered 5 kg of heroin from the smugglers, who opened fire while fleeing the scene, fatally striking Gurjit, a passerby. A case has been registered, and a manhunt is currently underway.

The Commissionerate Police on June 10 dismantled a well-organized narco-hawala cartel operated by convicted smuggler Arshdeep Singh, arresting six operatives identified as Karandeep Singh alias Karan, Jaspreet Singh, Arshdeep Singh alias Ars, Gurmeet Singh alias Geetu, Rajinderpal Singh alias Nikka, and Malkeet Singh and seizing 4.526 kilograms of heroin and INR 8.7 lakh in drug money from their possession in Amritsar district. Arshdeep Singh was found to be running the cartel from inside Goindwal Jail in Tarn Taran. Preliminary investigations revealed the cartel’s cross-border links and its use of hawala channels to route money to Dubai and Pakistan.
On June 10, Punjab Police, on day 101 of its ‘Yudh Nashian Virudh’ campaign, registered 114 first information reports (FIRs), arrested 152 drug smugglers and seized 1.6 kg of heroin along with INR 3.56 lakh drug money from their possession, across Punjab.
Border Security Force (BSF) troops on June 10 recovered a packet of heroin weighing 541 grams and a packet of opium weighing 30 grams, along with a drone, from fields near Roranwala Khurd village in Amritsar district. The drone was a DJI Mavic 3 Classic model.

On June 8, Punjab Police, on day 99 of its “Yudh Nashian Virudh” campaign, registered 107 first information reports (FIRs), arrested 144 drug smugglers and recovered 6.7 kg of heroin and INR 440 kg of poppy husk from their possession, across Punjab.
The Anti-Gangster Task Force (AGTF) of Punjab Police, in a joint operation with Muktsar police on June 8 arrested three individuals identified as Gaurav Kumar alias Billa, Vikasdeep Singh, and Lovepreet Singh and seized 174 grams of heroin along with two pistols and10 live cartridges from their possession, in Sri Muktsar Sahib district.
