The Border Security Force (BSF), in a joint operation with Punjab Police on November 16 recovered a packet of heroin weighing 570 grams from fields near T J Singh village in Pattil in Tarn Taran district.
The Amritsar police on November 15 dismantled a trans-border narco-smuggling and arms cartel with the arrest of three individuals, Aditya Pratap alias Kaka, Shambhu Kabir and Muskan along with 8 kg of heroin, 6 kg of opium, 13.1 kg of chemicals used to enhance the quantity of contraband, and four pistols along with 17 cartridges from their possession at Kot Khalsa in Amritsar district. Aditya was arrested at Prem Nagar Road in Amritsar with two pistols and 13 live cartridges, leading to the recovery of 8 kg of heroin, 2 kg of chemicals, 6 kg of opium, and a Glock pistol. Shambhu was arrested at Guru Ki Wadali Road in Amritsar with 275 grams of heroin, 11.1 kg of chemicals, and a .32 bore pistol. Muskan was identified as the daughter of absconding racket kingpin Sunny.
The Gharinda police on November 15 arrested three cross-border drug traffickers, identified as Akashdeep Singh, Akashdeep Singh, and Simranpreet Singh and seized 450 grams of heroin and a .32 bore revolver along with four live rounds from their possession, near Khasa in Amritsar district. The suspects were linked to contraband and arms supply in Pakistan, with further investigations underway to uncover their networks.

Police on November 10 arrested three drug peddlers, identified as Gurinder Singh alias Ginde, Gagandeep Singh alias Gagan and Baljinder Singh alias Babbu, and seized 2 kg of heroin from their possession near Bhagtawala in Amritsar district. Preliminary investigations revealed the suspects were in contact with Pakistan-based drug traffickers, coordinating cross-border smuggling of drugs via drones through social media apps.
Jalandhar rural police on November 9 arrested three drug peddlers, identified as Vinay Pratap Singh alias Vinay, Vishal Singh alias Shalu and Jagdish Singh alias Dishi, and seized 300 grams of heroin along with a motorcycle from their possession, near Sutlej Bridge in Phillaur in Jalandhar district.

Amritsar City Police on November 6 busted a trans-border drug smuggling racket and arrested three persons identified as Karandeep Singh, Jeevan Singh and Manjinder Singh, and seized 1 kg of heroin and 1 kg of ‘ICE (methamphetamine) from their possession, in Amritsar in Amritsar district. According to the Police, Karandeep had established contacts with Pakistan-based smugglers and was involved in trafficking drugs into Punjab, and the drugs were smuggled from Pakistan using drones and were linked to foreign-based gangster Gurdev Jaisal. The police are investigating the network's broader connections.
The Ferozepur Counter Intelligence (CI) on November 5 arrested a smuggler, Charanjeet Singh alias Channu, in connection with a case involving the recovery of 77.8 kg of heroin, from Bare Ke village in Ferozepur district. Investigations are ongoing to identify further links.

The Crime Investigation Agency (CIA) staff of Punjab Police on November 3 arrested three smugglers, Harshdeep Singh Jassal, Sharma, and Gur Pratap Singh Sidhu and seized 60 grams of heroin and INR 50,000 in drug money from their possession near Khuian Sarwar in Fazilka district.
