Lok Sabha elections 2024: Jailed Khalistani separatist Amritpal Singh wins Khadoor Sahib seat

In the latest development from Punjab, jailed pro-Khalistani separatist Amritpal Singh won the Khadoor Sahib constituency by 1,97,120 votes in the Lok Sabha elections 2024, according to the Election Commission of India. He defeated Congress leader Kulbir Singh Zira.

The head of the 'Waris Punjab De' outfit contested the elections as an Independent candidate from jail.

He polled 404430 votes in the elections, while Zira got 207310 votes.
