The police have booked pro-Khalistani leader and a designated terrorist by India Gurpatwant Singh Pannun on charges of promoting enmity and hatred between two different groups on grounds of religion or race.
The case was registered with Division D police station here yesterday. He was booked on the basis of his social media video in which he purportedly “warned Durgiana Temple authorities to shut the shrine and hand over its keys to Golden Temple administration.”
He alleged that the temple did not have any historical significance in Hinduism while adding that Amritsar was established by fourth Sikh Master, Guru Ramdas.
He had uploaded the video two days ago when Prime Minister Narendra Modi consecrated the idol of Ram Lalla at Ayodhya.
