Chargesheet filed against 9 in Tarn Taran blast case

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) today filed a chargesheet against eight accused and a juvenile in the case wherein two persons were killed in a powerful explosion in Tarn Taran district on September 4 last year. 

The chargesheet was filed in the Special NIA Court, Mohali, against Massa Singh, alias Mandeep Singh; Harjit Singh, alias Harjit; Gurjant Singh; Manpreet Singh, alias Maan; and Bikramjit Singh Panjwar, alias Bikkar Baba (absconding); all residents of Tarn Taran; Chandeep Singh, alias Gabbar Singh; a resident of Gurdaspur district, Malkit Singh, alias Shera; and Amarjeet Singh, alias Amar Singh; both of Amritsar district; and one juvenile under Sections 120B read with 153A of IPC, Sections 13, 18, 18A, 20 of the UA (P) Act, and Sections 3, 4 and 5 of Explosive Substances Act.
