UP ATS arrests key arms supplier of Khalistan Liberation Force

Uttar Pradesh Anti-Terrorism Squad (UPATS) arrested Javed Khan, a key arms supplier of Khalistan Liberation Force (KLF), from Hapur on Sunday. ATS is probing his supply channel and chains in UP.

An information about movement of Javed was shared by Punjab police and passed to ATS in UP last week.

An ATS official privy to the probe said that Javed is also a close aide of Ashish, who is considered to be the right hand of Gugni Grewal aka Harmeet Singh chief of KLF and supplier of weapons to the force.

Javed’s aide Ashish also has a role in murder of RSS and Shiv Sena workers in 2016. Ashish was arrested by the UPATS on February 1, 2020.

ATS said that weapons provided by Javed also led to the killing of top RSS leader retired brigadier Jagdish Kumar Gagneja. In this murder, Javed’s aide Ashish arrested earlier by UP ATS was also involved. Currently, this case is being worked upon by NIA.
