The
Posters with slogans of 'Khalistan Zindabad' were seen at gurdwaras, temples,
gaushala and some other places Friday morning at Kalanwali town in Sirsa, on
the anniversary of Operation Blue Star. Police said the posters were installed
at some time Thursday night, which the police have now removed.
A
case has been registered against unknown people at Kalanwali police station and
investigation started. At the same time, intelligence agencies of the state and
central government have also become alert. A senior officer told that the
posters, 'June 1984 is neither forgettable nor spared' have been pasted.
Police are also scouting CCTV cameras installed around the sites with posters. In June 1984, on the orders of the then Prime Minister Indira Gandhi, 'Operation Blue Star' was launched from June 1 to June 8 to remove the militants allegedly hiding in the Golden Temple in Amritsar, report said.
